In our recent local bargaining round, the district agreed to a 1-year trial of job shares in secondary for the 2026-2027 school year with some restrictions:
The application must include a proposal for the following:
Applications will be considered based on their commitment to collaborative practice, and operational and educational needs including consideration of programs and student needs and their job share team’s proposal.
Once a job share is approved, it must be fulfilled for the school year.
If one teacher is absent, the other teacher has the “first right of refusal” to TTOC for those days. Each job share partner may TTOC on their off days.
