Municipal Election October 2026
With a municipal election approaching and a new Board of School Trustees soon to be elected, this is an important opportunity to strengthen our collective voice and shape the future of public education in Vancouver.
The VSTA has been working in partnership with other VSB unions and the Vancouver District Labour Council to support the election of trustees who understand the needs of students, educators, and school communities. Together, we can help elect a Board that will defend public education, invest in students, and resist funding cuts and program closures.
The VSTA Executive Council has endorsed the following candidates for School Board in the October 17th Vancouver Municipal Election. These candidates represent the two political parties that have worked with VSB unions over the last four years to advocate for the concerns of union members.
