Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) is celebrated annually on March 31st to honor the transgender community and raise awareness about the discrimination they face worldwide. Established in 2009 by Michigan-based transgender activist Rachel Crandall, TDOV was created to acknowledge and celebrate living transgender individuals, complementing the Transgender Day of Remembrance, which memorializes those lost to anti-transgender violence.
