SLO Program MOTION #1:
THAT the VSTA publicly reaffirm its stance that it is against the SLO program and does not want to see it or other programs involving police be reinstated in Vancouver schools. MOTION #2: THAT VEAES and VSTA jointly affirm our opposition to School Liaison Officers in Vancouver Schools. Our members and students have identified the harmful impacts of the SLO program and we stand in solidarity with those who have raised these concerns. We urge newly elected trustees to ensure their decisions are accountable and responsible to community and stakeholder consultation. |
