Equity Audit Zoom Info Session – October 23, at 4pm

Over the course of this school year, the VSTA will be conducting an Equity Audit to examine local processes and practices in order to increase equity and inclusion in the engagement, leadership, and work of the local. Our initial areas of focus will be on identifying and planning ways to address inequities experienced by BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) members, 2SLGBTQ+ members, and members with disabilities.

We are currently looking for about 6 members who are interested in forming a working group to plan and implement the Equity Audit. The working group members will be expected to attend meetings over the year (approximately once a month). The meetings will mostly be after school, with a few meetings on released half days for longer collaboration time. If you are interested in joining the working group or learning more about the Equity Audit, please join our zoom info session on October 23, at 4pm. Click here to join the meeting.

To apply for the Equity Audit working group, please fill out this survey. If you are not able to join the working group, there will be multiple opportunities over the next year for all members to engage and have their voices heard as a part of the audit.
