VSTA General Meeting Report
The membership elected their delegation to the BCTF AGM and approved by-law amendments to allow TTOCs two voting spots on VSTA Staff Rep Council as well as a voting spot on each of the VSTA Standing Committees. Thank you to all the candidates for putting their names forward and to all the members who attended the general meeting.
Rock your Ribbon Skirt
Wednesday, January 20th wear your ribbon skirt to school to show support and solidarity for Bella Kulak who was criticized for wearing a ribbon skirt to school. There will also be a celebration of Indigenous culture at Grandview Park during the lunch hour from 12:00–12:45 pm.
Black Shirt Day
Friday, January 15th is Black Shirt Day, in honour of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Please consider wearing a black shirt and use this day to spark conversation about what can be done at your school site to celebrate Black History month.
