APRIL 14 – INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PINK
April 14, 2021 marks the International Day of Pink. It is a day where communities across the country, and across the world, can unite in celebrating diversity and raising awareness to stop homophobia, transphobia, transmisogyny, and all forms of bullying. Read more for BCTF resources.

Teach for the Planet
On April 21, Education International will launch Teach for the Planet – our global campaign for quality climate change education for all. The campaign aims to ensure that climate education, based on science and with a civic action focus, becomes as fundamental as teaching reading and writing.

UNITE HERE LOCAL 40
Thus far over 30 women from the Pacific Gateway Hotel in Richmond have been permanently fired. Unite Here Local 40 believe that they are trying to use the COVID-19 pandemic as an excuse to replace people, many of which are immigrant women, and to hire new workers at a lower wage. As a response, workers from the Pacific Gateway Hotel have voted to go on strike.
